Intervention’s object: Remediation of hydrocarbons contaminated soil matrix
Duration of the works: 24 months
Brief description of intervention:


  • Soil remediation (PHASE 1) Remediation of the area facing the new commercial building project, known as Area B; this was carried out at the hot spots of contaminated soil marked MS2, MS6, MS7, S8 and S23 . Simultaneously to these activities, the removal of underground storage tanks adjacent to the excavation area was also carried out.
  • Soil remediation (PHASE 2) Remediation of the outside area in front of the new commercial building project, known as Area C. The action was taken at the old tank farm, with removal of the same, and at the hot spots of contaminated soil identified by marks S17 and PM1. During the above mentined activities, excavation works for the installation of the new tank farm have also been carried out. Said operation was attended by WSR engineers who supervised the activities discriminating potentially compliant soils from those which do not comply.
