EURISANA® system for remote monitoring of fuel distribution stations. UNICHIM approved (manual nr. 195-II)
The Eurisana System is an advanced system for soil monitoring, particularly suitable for fuel distribution stations. It performs three main functions:
The operating principle is based on the immediate hydrocarbons vapors detection in the soil in case of leak.
Eurisana consists of air handling probes planted in the ground, connecting pipes, air circulation and dehumidification system, temperature / humidity / flow sensors, VOC detection and a control / registration / management and data transmission system for the control of the system’s parameters via the Web.
The EURISANA System can be interfaced, beside the continuous leak detection of hydrocarbons in the subsurface, also with other environmental or operational parameters and is adaptable to both new and existing PoS.
The measured data are available in real time on Eurisana’s website. It is sufficient to access the Eurisana’s holders reserved area, enter the username and password received at the time of the installation and consult all of the data transmitted by the system. In this way EURISANA also responds to the needs of management control, quality assurance and environmental certification (ISO 14001).
The preparation of a Point of Sale for receiveing the Eurisana System is made by the buried installation of a connected network of micro slotted vertical probes, connected through appropriate line to a manhole, on which is placed the Eurisana machine. Machine that is able to activate a circulation of air between the various probes.
In this way a continuous air movement is formed in the ground, which has the purpose of identifying the presence of hydrocarbon vapors from potential structural or operational losses. The Eurisana System can also be interfaced to the sensors placed in various sensitive points of the plant, such as tanks levels, casing of double wall tanks, openings of the tank truck delivery manholes, possibly existing piezometers, waste water wells, purification systems, etc.. Any analog or digital signal coming from sensors or actuation systems (switches, motors, solenoid valves, etc..) can be interfaced to the Eurisana machine and easily managed from remote.
The benefits of the "environmental" only version are already multiple and can be listed below:
The EURISANA System acquires a transversal value that affects many compartments, as schematized in the following table.
Environmental | Operational | Managerial | Economic | Social | Territorial |
Pollution prevention and continuous monitoring of leaks (tanks, lines, manholes, etc.) | Easy installation in existing PoS without loss of service | Better control and management for remote control PoS (integration with environmental and safety aspects) | Reduction of insurance policies costs | Easier to obtain environmental and quality certification | Improved widespread coverage of service and product availability (concentrated management networks) |
Continuous soil remediation, leaks impacts minimization, real time rehabilitation | Very competitive integration in the process of PoS remodeling or new construction | Increased level of safety and security | Increased site’s value and more rapid availability in the event of sale or disposal | Better coverage of the service (24/7) in case of application in a 24/7 self service PoS | Real-time monitoring of the environmental status, resulting in lower impact on the environment |
Protection against corrosion and decreased leaks chances | Storage optimization and sales profile monitoring | Reduction of management costs | Environmental remediation’s costs clearing in case of leaks | More stable service in remote / hard to access areas (for 24/7 self service PoS) |
|
Easy expandability of control to water, air, etc.. | Optimization of logistics and supplies | Possibility of support in logistics choices | Continuous leak testing of tanks (UNICHIM approved) | No staff presence inside the tanks needed during installation |
